Hilex’s Carrollton, Texas facility recently had the honor of hosting more than 30 individuals representing nearly 20 local businesses and organizations including the University of Texas at Arlington and Living Earth, Progressive Waste Solutions as well as officials from Dallas, Fort Worth, Irving, Allen, Grand Prairie and Tarrant County, Texas. Our guests experienced an exclusive “eco-tour” and behind-the-scenes look into the plastic bag manufacturing and recycling process (you can get your own peek into the facility here).
I had the opportunity to speak with the group about what Hilex is doing to create sustainable products and how we work with our many partners to ensure plastic bags are recycled through the Bag-2-Bag program so they can go on to fuel our green economy by becoming new useful products.
Myself and the employees at our Carrollton location are extremely appreciative for the time that the attendees took out of their day to spend with us! I hope everyone left learning something new about Hilex, plastic bags, and the plastic bag recycling process. Check out the pictures from the day!
